Once Upon a Scandal (Hqn)

Once Upon a Scandal - Delilah Marvelle When I first picked up this book I didn't realize it was part of a series. I've since added the other books in the series to my TBR! While part of a series, this could easily be a stand alone book - which is a big plus!

The story of Jonathon and Victoria had me intrigued. Young and in love, they are torn apart by distance, family and obligation. He in Venice - tied to an obligation he can't get out of. Pushing Victoria from his life for her own safety and his sanity. Her in England - stuck in a situation where she must marry.

These two have quite the chemistry despite being apart for so many years. They fight it at every turn until fate hands them an arranged marriage by her father. I really loved how things worked out for these two characters. They really were meant to be from a young age.

I've always loved the "love lost, love found" scenario in books. Especially learning about what happened to the characters in the years apart. This story is definitely one of those!! Jonathon led quite the life in Venice - I'm not going to spoil it for anyone by revealing what he did!

Anyone who loves historical romance will thoroughly enjoy this novel! Highly recommended!
