Gemma is one tough cowgirl; the only woman in the bronc riding competition. She’s spunky, sexy and one hell of a rider and keeps all the boys on their toes.
One of the great things about Gemma that I liked, was that she’s been in all the Spikes & Spurs books so far. She’s sister to the O’Donnell boys, who we’ve met in “Love Drunk Cowboy” – Rye, “Darn Good Cowboy Christmas” – Raelyn. Along with all the friends we meet along the way.
Trace and Gemma are quite the pair. They are stiff competition in the ring, but sparks fly once they leave the broncs behind. Both are stubborn as hell, they try and kill the other’s concentration to be the winner – but all the while afraid the other will get hurt.
When Trace’s baby is suddenly dropped in his lap, he’s at a loss and begs Gemma for help. How can she resist gorgeous sexy Trace and the innocent beautiful child in his arms. She has no idea what’s she’s in for and ends up falling for both of them!
Would I recommend this book? Yes. One of the things I love about Carolyn’s books, is while a series each book can easily be read on it’s own. You don’t feel left out in the cold on the other characters. They all make brief appearances, but not enough to totally spoil the other books. Will I read more? Oh yes, I can’t wait for Carolyn’s next book coming out in August!
